1. Definitions
- "Company" refers to Hey Couriers ABN (73 839 044 005), Address: Unit 3 / 25 Loyalty Rd, North Rocks - 2151, NSW.
- "Shipper" refers to the individual or entity sending the shipment.
- "Consignee" refers to the individual or entity receiving the shipment.
- "Shipment" refers to all documents or parcels that travel under one waybill.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Company's services, the Shipper agrees to these terms and conditions on behalf of themselves and the Consignee.
3. Shipment Restrictions
The Company will not accept shipments containing:
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous materials.
- Counterfeit goods, cash, or precious metals.
- Live animals or human remains.
- Items prohibited by law or regulation.
5. Dangerous Goods and Unacceptable Goods
- The Customer or their authorised agent shall not tender for carriage any explosive, flammable or dangerous goods without full description. The Customer is liable for any resulting loss or damage.
- The Carrier may destroy, dispose of, or render harmless any such goods without compensation and without affecting any charges due.
- The Carrier will not carry arms or ammunition.
- Unless previously agreed in writing, the Carrier will not accept high-value items (e.g. processed tobacco, spirits, bullion, cash, antiques, artwork, electronics, personal effects, vital documents, livestock, or plants). No liability is accepted for these goods without prior arrangement.
6. Packaging and Labeling
- The Shipper is responsible for proper packaging and labeling to withstand normal handling.
- All delivery information (recipient’s name, address, contact) must be accurate and complete.
- If delivery cannot be completed, parcels will be returned to the depot. Redirection may incur additional charges.
7. Customs Clearance
The Company may act on behalf of the Shipper or Consignee for customs clearance and compliance.
8. Liability
The Company’s liability for loss or damage is limited to [amount] unless additional insurance is purchased.
9. Delivery
Shipments will be delivered to the address provided by the Shipper, not necessarily to the named Consignee. The Company does not deliver to PO boxes.
10. Undeliverable Shipments
If a shipment is undeliverable, it will be returned to the Shipper at their expense.
11. Claims
Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. All parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its Courts.
13. Privacy
The Carrier collects, uses, and discloses customer information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available on the Carrier’s website.
14. Insurance and Parcel Protect Cover
- The Customer is responsible for insuring goods.
- The Carrier offers extended warranty cover (Parcel Protect) during transit and storage.
- This cover applies only to goods within Australia.
- For third-party bookings, claims must be submitted to the third-party, not the Carrier.
